The market will feature over 50 unique booths with new vendors and one-of-a-kind items each month. Market favorites include: fresh locally grown produce\, honey\, jams and jellies\, salsa\, pottery\, art\, children’s clothing\, hand-woven baskets\, leather products\, fresh baked goods\, handcrafted furniture\, birdhouses\, wood-art\, fiber-art\, wreaths\, floral design\, and much more! \nThe Market is open to the public\, and there is no charge for admission. \nPickin’ on the Square occurs simultaneously around the courthouse square during the Market Day. Come experience the vernacular sounds of local musicians playing acoustic music around the courthouse lawn! We invite any musician with an acoustic instrument to join and play at their own accord. Pickin’ on the Square is a fantastic networking opportunity for musicians to collaborate with other artists and welcomes all genres of music and skill levels. Musicians typically arrive after 10 a.m. and play until around 2 p.m.\, however\, there is no dedicated time for this event.

Admission is free for SAHS members\, while guests are encouraged to make a $5.00 per person donation. The public is invited to attend.

DESCRIPTION:Join NCHC as we take our August Third Thursday Program on the road to beautiful Moreland\, Ga. We’ll visit their museum and be treated to a wonderful program. \nWe’re going to the Moreland Heritage Museum and the Birthplace and Museum\, the Little Manse\, of Coweta author Erskine Caldwell. \nLocal historian\, Winston Skinner and Museum Director\, Carol Chancey\, will be our guides into the historic world of Moreland\, Ga which includes authors Lewis Grizzard and Erskine Caldwell. There will be a special focus on Caldwell and his novella\, “In Search of Bisco” set in Coweta County and published in 1966. \nWe look forward to visiting Moreland and hope you’ll come on down too! \nProgram starts at 6pm with refreshments and opening remarks. Chancey and Skinner presentation\, followed by a tour led by Skinner of Caldwell’s wonderful Little Manse. \nYou don’t want to miss this. No registration required\, but if you’d like to call the museum to let us know to expect you we always appreciate it!
