Explore Newnan-Coweta

From hometown charm to rural character, Newnan-Coweta has it all!

Newnan, the hometown of Alan Jackson, is known as the City of Homes. There are six National Register Historic Districts containing some of Georgia’s most beautiful homes and buildings located here. Enjoy a self-guided driving tour and see the districts that include Antebellum and Victorian homes, the 1904 historic courthouse, Oak Hill Cemetery, the Historic Train Depot, and the McRitchie Hollis Museum.

Just a short drive from Newnan is Senoia, a quaint little town incorporated in 1860. Grand in its simplicity, Senoia is a destination for those who seek to decompress from a modern, fast-paced lifestyle…or escape it altogether. It was also chosen by Southern Living Magazine as the site of its 2010 and 2012 Idea House as well as it is home to the Walking Dead. Be sure to save time for shopping for antiques and treasures in the historic downtown areas and our outdoor mall, Ashley Park. We are also very proud of our newest addition, the Chattahoochee Bend State Park, where you can camp, fish, picnic, and hike 12 miles of wooded trails.

Grab your bike, a racket or your walking shoes and explore all sides of our beautiful county. From Chattahoochee Bend State Park to the Walking Dead, Coweta County has an eclectic offering of activities to please all walks of life.

Coweta County is home to a wide variety of shopping options. From idyllic Mainstreet Senoia to the small-town charm of Downtown Newnan, our county offers something for every style sense.

Weary travelers can relax in one of our many unique and comfortable accommodations. Featuring historic B&B’s and suite-style hotel rooms, Coweta County has all the amenities your heart desires.
