Coweta County is located in the west-central portion of Georgia. It is part of the metro Atlanta region and is about 30 minutes south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on I-85.
The county seat is Newnan, and six other cities/towns, as well as several other unincorporated communities, are located within the county. The northwest corner of Coweta borders the Chattahoochee River in Chattahoochee Bend State Park.

The Newnan-Coweta County Airport is 30 minutes southwest of Atlanta and offers accessibility and a friendly atmosphere. It provides a convenient and efficient location for business and leisure travel in the southwest quadrant of metropolitan Atlanta and west-central Georgia. The airport is a full-service fixed-base operator (FBO), and it provides air-charter service and features a 5,500-foot-by-100-foot runway.
We are also just 30 minutes south of Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the world’s busiest airport and home to Delta Air Lines, the world’s largest airline hub.
There are a number of public lots that offer free parking options in Newnan and Senoia, as well as plenty of on-street parking. There are no parking meters in either downtown Newnan or Senoia. Please pay attention to signage since some spaces are reserved parking.

Coweta Connect, the county’s transit program, provides transportation services to business, commercial and activity centers in Coweta County.
Schedule a trip by calling 770-683-RIDE (7433) by 12 Noon for next day service, dependent upon availability.
Trips are $3.00 per one way trip, must be within Coweta County and are generally scheduled between the hours of 8 am- 5 pm. The Coweta Connect shuttle van will come to any Coweta address to pick up or drop off.
The program uses a “demand response” model, meaning there are no fixed routes, stops or pick up times. Reservations for next day service must be scheduled in advance.
Rides are “first come, first served” dependent upon availability. Service will be provided Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The program is designed and available for anyone who needs transportation within Coweta County.
