Two couples strolling down Mainstreet in Downtown Senoia

Tour Coweta County for $100

A must-do day trip itinerary

You don’t need a big budget to have a big adventure. With about $100 in your pocket and Coweta County on your map, you can fill your day with small-town charm, blockbuster backdrops and southern bites worth writing home about.

Here’s how to stretch your stash and make your money work as hard as your curiosity.

Morning in Newnan: coffee, murals and downtown charm

Start at Leaf & Bean Coffee ($8–$12)

Kick off your day in the heart of downtown Newnan at Leaf & Bean, where the coffee is locally roasted, the pastry case is dangerously tempting and the biscuit sandwiches have a loyal local following. A latte will set you back about $4 and a bagel with cream cheese is $3.50. So go ahead, get the muffin, too. We know you want to!

Curious Craving: The lavender lemonade is as refreshing as it is ‘gram-worthy.

Next: murals in downtown (FREE)

Stroll through the heart of downtown Newnan and let the walls do the talking – no admission required. The mural trail is a colorful mix of local history, iconic faces (hello, Alan Jackson!) and scene-stealing street art that’s impossible not to snap.

Curious Callout: Take a peek at our Picture Perfect Guide to Photo Worthy Spots in Coweta for more walls that wow.

Walk the square + window shop (FREE, unless curiosity gets the best of you)

Take a leisurely loop around Newnan’s charming square, where every storefront feels like its own little treasure hunt. Pop into locally owned gems like Gillyweeds for Southern-chic gifts and home goods, Bold Soul for a free olive oil and vinegar tasting and The Reverie for vintage finds and funky fashion you won’t spot anywhere else. Whether you’re browsing or buying, each shop is full of surprises waiting for you.

Munch on lunch at Karvelas ($15–$18)

Slide into Karvelas Pizza Co., just off the south side of the square, where East-Coast- style pies meet funky local art and a laid-back vibe that’s all about good tunes and even better slices. Apps, wings and salads will keep you well under $20, but if you’re feeding the whole family, we recommend going in on the $16 full pizza for $25-$30.

Muffins, murals and munchies – oh my! We’ve jam-packed this morning and yet for all that fun, the bill so far comes to $23-$30.

Afternoon in Senoia: film, history & southern strolls

Explore downtown Senoia + film tour ($28 per person for guided tour)

Cue the cameras, Senoia is basically Hollywood South. From The Walking Dead to Sweet Home Alabama (yes, really), we’ve starred in all your favorite feature films and binge-worthy shows. Wander the sets on your own or book a Georgia Tours LLC tour for $28 bucks and step right into the story.

Browse boutique shops (FREE - unless you shop!)

Downtown Senoia is brimming with locally owned shops that are packed with personality. Don’t be surprised if you leave wondering how your tote bag got so full.

The Classic Market (wine & GA made products)
A foodie’s happy place, stocked with Georgia wines, small-batch goodies and locally made treats, this is the classic spot to scoop up some perfect souvenirs (if they make it home before you eat them).

Greenhouse Mercantile (vintage wares & curated goods)
Equal parts boutique and vintage wonderland, this shop is filled with quirky finds you didn’t know you needed – but now you really, really do!

We’re halfway through our day. If your total so far is $23-$58, you’re right on track! If it’s a smidge higher thanks to those gosh darn darling shops, it’s okay – we’ve got some opportunities to save coming right up.

Bites, burgers & a sweet ending

Every good day trip deserves a delicious plot twist. With screen-stealing comfort food and ice cream that rivals any blockbuster ending, this downtown lineup is proof that the credits don’t roll until dessert is served.

Dinner at Nic & Norman’s, Senoia ($20–$30)

Co-owned by The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus, Nic & Norman’s has become a must-stop for fans and foodies alike. Between the delicious dishes and a patio perfect for people-watching, this spot is anything but lifeless. But don’t let the celebrity status fool you, their menu of gourmet burgers and tasty entrées doesn’t come with Hollywood prices.

Curious Callout: Looking for a souvenir? Nic & Normans sells merch! $2 stickers and $5 koozies are a killer deal that won’t eat your wallet alive.

Sweet treat at Main St. Fudge & Ice Cream Shop ($5-$10)

Main Street has never been sweeter. Stop by and indulge in 21 flavors of fudge and a dozen ice creams to choose from. It’s okay, we’re not counting scoops–go ahead and get another.

Add On's

Your total bill for the day should look something like $76-$98. Not too shabby. Have a
few extra bucks in your pocket or want to splurge on some more fun? Stretch your
$100 day trip a little further with any of these add-ons.

Tray of toast points and fresh peach jam from Whitley Farms

Shop local: Whitley Farms Market ($10)

If you’re visiting Thurs–Sat, swing by for fresh berries, local honey and homemade jam. It’s a sweet way to bring a taste of Coweta home with you.

Catch a race at Senoia Raceway ($10 entry)

Feel the adrenaline on Saturday nights! (Check event schedule, usually most Saturdays)

Play a round at The Mutt Disc Golf Course (FREE - BYO disc)

Bring your own discs and let the fun fly at this favorite hidden gem.

Bike Brown’s Mill Battlefield trails (FREE - BYO bike)

Trade horsepower for pedal power as you explore these wooded, history-rich trails.

Play pickleball at The HOP (FREE - BYO paddle & ball)

A smashing way to wrap up your day. The courts are first-come, first-served – so don’t dilly-dally on snagging one.
