First Day Hike at Chatt Bend

New Year’s Day Hikes at Chattahoochee Bend State Park | $5 per person each hike

Kick off the New Year with two special guided hikes, offering something for everyone. Whether you prefer a midday adventure or a cozy evening experience. Choose one or make a day of it and enjoy both!

First Day Hike: Monumental Moments – New Year Hike & Lunch | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Enjoy a 1-mile hike to the Observation Tower, followed by a relaxing picnic lunch by the river. Bring your blanket, picnic basket, and plenty of water as we start the year surrounded by nature.

Out with the Old, In with the New – Hike & Bonfire (ADA Accessible) | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
End the day with an evening walk focused on reflection and renewal. After a short, ADA-accessible walk around the Visitor Center, gather at the fire ring to symbolically leave the past behind and welcome the New Year by burning your worries away.
