Places in Peril: Georgia’s Most Endangered Historic Places

The Senoia Area Historical Society will host a special presentation on “Places in Peril: Georgia’s Most Endangered Historic Places” on Thursday, August 14, 2025, featuring W. Wright Mitchell, President and CEO of The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. The program will highlight the Georgia Trust’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the state’s significant historic, archaeological, and cultural resources that face threats from demolition, neglect, lack of maintenance, inappropriate development, and inadequate public policy.

Doors open at 6:30 PM for light refreshments, with the program beginning at 7:00 PM. Admission is free for SAHS members, while guests are encouraged to make a $5.00 per person donation. The public is invited to attend.
