Register for a fun timed paintout for both adults & children of all skill levels! Plein Air Painters of the Southeast, PAP-SE, are hosting their first ever QuickDraw in downtown Newnan, GA with a members show of wet paintings done all during the week at The Boyd Gallery & Studio.

What is plein air painting you ask? It’s a painting done on location, in the field and not in the studio. A QuickDraw is a timed painting event where folks paint for a specific amount of time, spectators are invited to wander around and see the work being created and at the end we come together for awards and some painting sales!

When: Saturday, March 29th from 9-11, Judging at 11:30, Awards at 12

Where: Historic  Downtown Newnan

Why: PAP-SE is an organization of professional plein air painters bound by a common passion to promote the traditional methods of painting en plein air.

We also raise money for local non profits who support the arts, in Newnan we will be donating $1000 plus a percentage of all sales to Backstreet Arts.

Registration: You can register online until March 28th. After that you will have to register the day of the event, registration opens at 8am on the 29th.

• $35 registration fee for adults (18 and up)
• $15 registration fee for kids (under 18) has been waived, members of PAPSE have paid to sponsor a young artist!
