Explore the outdoors with our Naturalist this summer at Chattahoochee Bend State Park! Dive into hands-on science topics like composting, insect and animal anatomy and bird watching. This is a fun series for curious minds of all ages.
Saturday, June 6th | Summer Outdoor Science: Composting
Learn about compost in the most fun and delicious way! We will be making a compost critter pudding cup to demonstrate the importance of compost in your garden. $3.00 each person
Saturday, June 13th| Summer Outdoor Science: Insect Scavenger Hunt and Anatomy
Join the Naturalist for an insect ID Scavenger Hunt and anatomy break down of grasshoppers, beetles and butterflies! $3.00 each person
Saturday, June 27th | Summer Outdoor Science: Bird Watching and ID
Bring you binoculars and join us for a bird watching hike along the West Platform trail and Riverside trail to look for Bald Eagles, Osprey, Hawks and Cranes. Check off 3 birds on the Watchlist provided by the park and win a prize! $3.00 each person
