3rd Thursday Program

Join NCHC as we take our August Third Thursday Program on the road to beautiful Moreland, Ga. We’ll visit their museum and be treated to a wonderful program.

We’re going to the Moreland Heritage Museum and the Birthplace and Museum, the Little Manse, of Coweta author Erskine Caldwell.

Local historian, Winston Skinner and Museum Director, Carol Chancey, will be our guides into the historic world of Moreland, Ga which includes authors Lewis Grizzard and Erskine Caldwell. There will be a special focus on Caldwell and his novella, “In Search of Bisco” set in Coweta County and published in 1966.

We look forward to visiting Moreland and hope you’ll come on down too!

Program starts at 6pm with refreshments and opening remarks. Chancey and Skinner presentation, followed by a tour led by Skinner of Caldwell’s wonderful Little Manse.
