Warmer weather is nearly here, so mark your calendar for some curiously fun festivities. From cycling to shopping and fireworks to fine wines, there’s something spectacular for everyone to discover in Coweta County. Don’t sweat it: We know it gets hotter than a hoochie coochie, so most events take place in the easy, breezy evenings.

Put the pedal to the metal and get your adrenaline pumping at the fourth annual Rock & Road Festival. Throughout this highspeed weekend, the streets of Newnan are transformed into a thrilling racecourse, where skilled cyclists showcase their precision, agility and strategic prowess in this dynamic and spectator-friendly race format. Whether you’re a cycling enthusiast or a casual observer, the Rock & Road Festival promises an exhilarating experience, combining the intensity of competitive cycling with the charm of downtown Newnan. Live music, local food trucks and fundraising fun-runs offer an exhilarating weekend for all.

Spend your first long weekend of summer at our annual Memorial Day Celebration in Senoia. Food trucks will keep bellies full and DJs spinning live music will have you grooving to the beat. Kid-friendly activities make this an evening the whole family will enjoy. Once the sun sets, fireworks will illuminate the night sky and put a twinkle in your eye.

Although Memorial Day has evolved into a day of celebration, it’s important to acknowledge the true reason for its observance – to honor and remember the courageous members of our armed forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation.

TGI…Thursday? That’s right! Start your weekend early at Greenville Street Park. Live music sets the scene for a night of fun-filled festivities, food trucks and local vendor booths. Family-friendly activities and entertainment means kids can enjoy a night on the town just as much as mom and dad! Many of the shops and restaurants in the downtown area stay open late, offering special deals and discounts so that going out doesn’t mean breaking the bank.

Sip in summer and transport your tastebuds to the hills of Tuscany. At our downtown wine-tasting event, you’ll have the opportunity to imbibe in wines at 30 host locations without leaving the states. Host locations will feature hors d’oeuvres and a variety of whites, reds and specialty blends for guests to sample. Whether you prefer to wet your whistle with a dry white or savor a spicy red, guests are sure to find a vino they vibe with. While tasting is the main event, drinkers and non-drinkers alike are welcome to take part in the evening’s festivities.
