House of Pickleball, or The HOP, is a 15-court pickleball facility located near downtown Newnan. The HOP is a city of Newnan public facility and may be enjoyed by all. Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26 to 40 round holes, over a net.

The LINC is a multipurpose trail built on public rights of way and greenspace, creating a network of paved paths for recreating and socializing in Newnan. The trail system is enjoyed by walkers, runners, skaters, bicyclists and people using non-motorized vehicles.

This 19th-century farmhouse features art, memorabilia and press about the famous, cutting-edge 20th-century novelist Erskine Caldwell. His books, such as Tobacco Road and God’s Little Acre, inspired the love of Hollywood, the respect of readers of fine literature, the wrath of those who didn’t appreciate his portrayal of poverty-stricken reality in the South and, recently, the honor of his hometown.
