This 21-court pickleball facility is located nearly in the heart of downtown Newnan. Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26 to 40 round holes, over a net.

Construction was funded by a SPLOST grant, along with an investment by the Coweta County School System. The Centre is available for use by all the citizens of the surrounding communities, with special priority being given to school system events.

Located just a few blocks north of downtown Newnan, it is the final resting place for some of the county’s most prominent citizens, including two Georgia governors and several congressmen. In addition to serving as the burial ground for 270 Confederate soldiers (representing every state in the confederacy), Oak Hill is also the final resting place for soldiers from the Revolutionary War (James Akens and William Smith), as well as soldiers from World War I, World War II, Vietnam and Korea. Self-guided tour brochures are available.
