Located in historic downtown Newnan, the Carnegie Library has brought back library-type services in the downtown area. The bottom floor of the building serves as a reading room, and the second floor includes meeting and program spaces. Among the Carnegie’s many offerings are popular magazines and newspapers, computer workstations and Wi-Fi access, an honor book system, a gallery for local exhibits, meeting rooms with warming kitchen, and programs for adults and children.

This antique shop, opened in 1982, is located in an authentic Carriage House built in 1905 out of heart pine.  It was originally used to store buggies, wagons and grain and has been kept in almost original condition, even to its tin roof. Carriage House Antiques became a reality of Nancy’s and her late husband Bill because their love of all things old.

They provide kayak rentals, guided tours down the Chattahoochee River, shuttle service, camping gear rentals and guided hiking trips. While they are located in Bush Head Shoals Park, they provide guided kayak tours in Chattahoochee Bend State Park in Newnan.

Take a selfie break at the new exhibit featuring three distinctly styled vignettes designed to bring out your inner photographer: “The Sweet Life,” “Create/Logic” and “SodaPOP.” The museum is housed in the former building for the Male Academy Classroom, which was established in 1840.

A direct result of the dedicated advocacy by a handful of local youth, parents and community leaders, the park features an expansive street/plaza section, competition-level bowl, various obstacle and transition elements, and one of the Nation’s few integrated, site-built concrete pump tracks.
